Description
Broumov’s landmark – the Benedictine Monastery is one of the most significant Baroque sites of the Hradec Králové Region. The history of the monastery dates back to the early 13th century. It recorded its largest boom after 1620 in the period of Catholic Reformation, when the monastery received a Baroque makeover. Today's High Baroque appearance of the Broumov Monastery is the work of K. I. Dientzenhofer.
